This product is only suitable for PS3 consoles which are lower than version 3.55

PS3YES modchip dongle can also be used to downgrade PS3 console

PS3YES! has a little difference from PS Jailbreak and other clone products. We are following PSGroove.

PS3YES! can be flashed with other Hex, BUT it will lost the auto upgrade function: Plug it into PC, after 20 seconds; it can enter upgrade mode and both LEDs light. The PC will find device "AT90USB162 DFU", you can download firmware from here and use FLIP to flash it. If you install the FLIP and install drivers for "AT90USB162 DFU", you can flash HEX files that download from here and keep the "auto enter upgrade mode" function. You can flash it with any HEX file, BUT you will lose the "auto enter upgrade mode" function, after this, next time you have to do a hard upgrade. We are preparing more detail document for how to do a hard upgrade for PS3YES!.

User's Manual

System Requires:
1. PlayStation 3 Host，Firmwaer Version 3.41.
2. Install Backup Manager Package（manager.pkg），You can download at below。
3. USB storage formated as FAT32 file system.
Usage :
Step 1 : Remove all the USB devices from PS3, make sure BD disc drive is empty. Power off theconsole, and connected the PS3YES! Dongle to the PS3. .

Step 2 : Switch on PS3 again.
For the SLIM Model: You will also have to remove power chord before plugging in USB.
For the FAT Model: Switching the power off shall do.

Press the ‘Power' button on the console and then press the ‘Eject' button. You should notice a beep sound and from the console. If PS3YES! Dongle working properly, within few seconds the blue indication LED at PS3YES! Dongle will switch on.. If the both LEDs(blue & red) will switch on it's not working.

The RED LED will switch on while booting.

The BLUE LED will switch on while ready.

If you just plug the PS3YES! to a PC's USB port or 'Jailbreak' was failed, PS3YES! will enter upgrade mode with RED/BLUE LED were on , about 30 Seconds after boot. (It can be upgraded)

Step 3 : Once the PS3YES! loads and ready ,connect the external USB storage (with BackupManager) to the PS3.

Step 4 : Navigate to "Game Menu" and select the option" Install Package Files". Select"manager,pkg" which will basically install back up manager for you. Install the "manager.pkg"

Step 5: Back to Game Menu, select and execute Backup Manager

Step 6: Select "YES"

Step 7: Wait for few seconds for Backup manager menu to appear, put in a original BD game discwhich you need to backup and press "O". You will be asked then whether to make a back up on theinternal HDD or the external USB storage device.Choose "yes", if want backup the BD game to external USB storage device.
Choose "yes", if want to backup the BD games to PS3 build in internal hard drive.

Step 8: Backup in progress, please wait.

Step 9: After backup process back to Game Menu,and enter Backup Manager again

Step 10: To load a previously created back up, insert any original BD game disc in console thenselect the desired back up from the Back Up Manager and press "X" to play the selected game.

Without insert any original BD game disc, message below will pop out if press "X".

Now press "X" to play the selected backup game. You can also delete your previously createdbackup by pressing triangle.

Step 11: You will automatically be redirected to the main menu where you can see the gameinstalled and ready to be played

Do not remove the PS3YES! while you play the game. It has to be connected at all the timeswhile you are playing a game through back up.

Download:

manager.pkg: Backup Manager' Tool (Ziped), Put it under root directory of your usb hard disk, and install it into PS3.

Upgrade Instruction:

Download and install Atmel FLIP 3.4.2

When installed，go to installation folder, namely Atmel\Flip 3.4.2\usb\, find libusb0.dll and libusb0_x64.dll, copy them to folder Flip 3.4.2\bin

Then plug PS3yes into USB port in PC, the red green light will light up.

Meanwhile PC reminds you that unusable unkown device found.

Ignore it, wait for a few seconds, new hardware AT90USB162 DFU will be found, pc asks you to provide driver,

choose USB folder in Flip as the Install Path, for example Atmel\Flip 3.4.2\usb\

then the installation begins.

When the driver is installed, we can write on AT90USB162.

Run Flip, go to Device -> Select..., and choose AT90USB162

Then go to File -> Load HEX File...

Choose the HEX file you want to write into,

Attention: HEX must be put in the English path so that it can be read

Then you can see HEX file parsed shown in the left bottom.

Then go to Settings -> Communication ->USB, choose OPEN USB port.

Then the chip is open and ready to be written.

Check HEX File, make sure if it’s the right HEX that you want to write into.

Choose RUN in the left bottom, then the chip is being written. It will be done in a few seconds. You will see Verify PASS in the left bottom when it’s finished.

Now the chip has been written. Turn off Flip and unplug the PS jailbreak dongle out of PC.

How to use PS3YES-Pro downgrade the console's firmware from 3.50                     

Prepare: Download the downgrade files, an USB disk large to storage the upgrade files.

Step 1: Please update your PS3YES-Pro with downgrade firmware as Part 1.

Step 2: Plug the "downgrade" PS3YES-Pro to the right port (close the Blue-Ray Driver), Power down the console and cut of the power. Re-connect power to the console, Press power on button , press the "EJECT" button in 200ms after power on button was pressed. Until finished your downgrade , you don't need cut off the power again.

Step 3: The screen to the console will flash several time and auto-turn-off, you can remove the PS3YES-Pro now (You console now ready to enter "Factory Mode" now)

Step 4: Prepare an USB disk and format it as FAT32 file system, copy two files to the USB disk: Lv2diag.self and PS3UPDAT.PUP, and place them under the root path. the the named "Lv2diag.self" should copy from the "Lv2diag.self FILE 1" folder.

Step 5: Plug the USB disk to the right USB port to the console, and remove any other USB disk from your console, press power on button to boot.

Step 6: Wait until the console turn off again. Remove the USB disk from your console , and delete all the files, copy the "Lv2diag.self" from "Lv2diag.self FILE 2" folder to the USB disk's root path.

Step 7: Plug the USB disk to the right USB port to the console, and press power on button , It will leave "Factory Mode" now.

Last Step: After finished downgrade the console , you can update PS3YES-Pro back.
